This account has existed for... years now. Since I was in high school. As I approach my final years of college, I feel it's time to move it to a more professional-like state. Looking back, I've gained enough experience to see the crappiness of a lot of my early works. Some (many) journals will be deleted. a very few pieces will be deleted. The works that ARE quality (to me and my portfolio) will stay right where they are. The rest will be moved to scraps. Thank you all for following me, even though I haven't uploaded anything new in over a year. John

Though mecha aren't as prominent in my gallery as they are in boxes of old works in my apartment, there are some considerations I feel like talking about. The thing about mecha is, in most cases, they are science-fiction. That is, to say, they're designed on principles based in science. I'm watching some standup right now on Comedy Central... and the commercial break comes up. And I realize... That new Bacardi commercial, you know, the one where they build the island with rocks then party on it? It just looked great. The overhead shot of the boats coming in, the clear blue water with the rocks floating down... Whatever agency worked on that was genius. And I've seen the commercial hundreds of times... But I just noticed the beauty of it. It's amazing what you notice when you ignore the original message...
